ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP
The Fellowship in Neurorehabilitation is a comprehensive 6-month clinical training program designed for Speech-Language Pathologists seeking specialized skills in the assessment and management of adults with neurological and medically complex conditions.
The fellowship combines structured academic teaching with supervised clinical practice, providing fellows with opportunities to develop clinical reasoning, assessment, rehabilitation and multidisciplinary management skills in an acute neurorehabilitation setting.
The program focuses on three core areas:
Dysphagia • Tracheostomy • Communication Disorders

Adult communication and cognitive-communication rehabilitation

CLINICAL EXPOSURE
Fellows receive supervised clinical exposure in the assessment and management of patients presenting with:
Stroke
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders
Spinal Cord Injury
Disorders of Consciousness
Tracheostomy-related communication and swallowing needs
ICU-acquired swallowing and communication disorders
Dysphagia associated with neurological, respiratory, medical and surgical conditions
Head and neck conditions requiring swallowing assessment
INTERDEPARTMENTAL CLINICAL EXPOSURE
The fellowship provides exposure to referrals from multiple clinical specialties, including:
Neurology
Neurosurgery
Pulmonology
General Medicine
Cardiology
ENT
Intensive Care Units (ICUs)
Critical Care
This multidisciplinary exposure helps fellows understand swallowing and communication disorders within the broader medical and rehabilitation context.

The fellowship is open to:
BASLP graduates
MASLP graduates
MSc Speech-Language Pathology graduates
RCI Registration preferred, as applicable.
FELLOWSHIP FEE
OPTION 1
6-Month Clinical Fellowship
₹60,000
OPTION 2
6-Month Clinical Fellowship + 1-Year Employment
₹60,000
₹50,000 will be reimbursed upon successful completion of one year of employment.
